Thomas E. Malloy

Professor Thomas E. Malloy is a social psychologist with an interest in interpersonal and intergroup relations.   He directs the Social Relations Laboratory at Rhode Island College.   The photo above was taken in Copenhagen, Denmark while working with Scandinavian colleagues on the 1987 Finnish Birth Cohort that includes all people born in Finland in 1987.  That work focuses on the determinants of life outcomes.  This is a link to one paper in this line of work:’s_life_outcomes_the_1987_Finnish_Birth_Cohort

Professor Malloy is also collaborating with Professor Avraham N. Kluger of The Hebrew University of Jerusalem along with his doctoral and post-doctoral students.  Their work is supported by a grant (#2018055) from the U.S. – Israel Bi-National Science Foundation to study Listening in Dyads: Bias, Accuracy, and Meta-Accuracy.  The photo above was taken at a restaurant in the old city of Jerusalem in the Armenian quarter near the Jaffa Gate to the Old City.
